About Us
Valor Rugby
Valor RFC (Rugby Football Club) was established in Spring 2021 by Guy Mumford, our Head Coach, and Jim Boyle, our Club’s Director.
We are a Division 1 boys team; we play 7s in the Fall and 15s in the spring. Our club currently has 61 players from 22 different schools across Metro Denver. We offer two competitive levels (Varsity and JV), and a developmental level for new players and 8th graders.
We play clubs all across the front range, including Boulder, Denver East, NCOS Falcons, Monarch, Palmer Terrors, Parker Titans, and Regis.
Our goal is three–fold; we refer to it as the P3 - Vision.
PAST – We want to remember where our players came from by supporting youth rugby.
PRESENT – We desire to give our players a premium experience now.
POSTERITY – We want to support our players with the next level of play and education.
Valor Rugby has won one 15s State Championship (2024), two 7s state championships (2022 and 2023) and one league 15s championship (2023). Our JV 7s team took state in 2023. We have several alumni playing at the collegiate level (Kansas, CSU, Virginia Tech, CU, BYU, GCU) and boast one current player at the international level. Collegiate coaches contact us all the time for references and, while scholarship opportunities look a little different for rugby, there are opportunities. If that is a player’s goal, our coaches are well-placed to help!
